Cyclist, marathon runner, hiker, he believes in always pushing forward. A born entrepreneur, he founded his own boutique litigation firm in 2011. Some would say that charging ahead is in his DNA. An example among many is his journey across the Atlantic on a racing sail boat while having no prior sailing experience.
This constant desire to reach ever higher is balanced by a lifestyle based on Zen principles where self-discipline and endurance happily coexist.
To say that he also has a keen interest in social challenges hardly does justice to his commitment and determination to carry out class actions, particularly in the medical sphere.
Attentive father, a quiet and unifying leader, who loves to do things differently.
Michel has more than 29 years of experience in the field of civil and commercial litigation.
His years of experience have allowed him to fill his roster with files that have benefited from his approach and expertise on resolution of conflicts. Michel believes that trust needs to be established with the clients in order to understand their needs and expectations.
Michel is also recognized for his vast knowledge of class actions. As such, he has been lead counsel in the class action representing people infected by Hepatitis C as well as representing women contesting the long delays to receive radiotherapy for breast cancer.
Michel has also applied his expertise in the legal sphere of extraordinary recourses such as injunctions, Anton Piller orders, seizures before judgment and oppression remedies.
Before founding Savonitto in 2011, Michel practiced as a partner for many years in a well-established Montreal firm.
